Round tour "Narzissenbad-Koppental-Hallstättersee"

From the car park of the Narzissen Vital Resort, the trail leads eastwards along a meadow path to the former Teichwirt. From there we continue on the access road to the road junction, where we turn right down to Sommersbergseestraße. We turn right until just before the Hotel Wasnerin. Here we continue along the road into the district of Sarstein until we reach a fork in the road after about 2 km.

Here we turn left into a gravel road and ride downhill to the Traun, cross the Austeg and follow the Austegweg towards Bad Aussee railway station. Shortly before the station, we cross the railway track on the right and follow the country road "Koppenstraße".

After about three kilometres we turn right onto a gravel road and descend to the Koppental hiking trail. Follow this to the Koppenrast inn. We cross the road and continue over the Koppenwinkelsee to Obertraun.

Follow the Ostuferwanderweg to Hallstatt railway station and continue to Untersee and on to St. Agatha. Here we cross the Salzkammergut Bundesstraße B145 at the Agathawirt and continue towards the Halleralm. Soon we turn right and follow the Leislingstraße uphill for about 5.5 kilometres to Oberlupitsch. There we turn left in the direction of Waldgraben.

At the next junction, take the first forest road to the right and continue past the Pflindsberg castle ruins, first on a gravel road and then on an asphalt road, downhill to Altaussee. After the Reischenböck nursery, we reach the main road and turn right. At the crossroads we turn right uphill along Wimmstraße to Hiasngasse and follow this. At the fire station we turn left onto the Salzkammergut Bundesstraße B145 and follow this until we reach our starting point, the Narzissen Vital Resort, again after 750 m.

Equipment:

• The right bicycle: Touring bike or mountain bike
• City bikes or racing cycles are not recommended due to graveled roads throughtout parts of the tour.
• Break-downs might occur, most of the times far away from any service providing station. Therefore to the best advantage tools, implements and appropriate material are always good to have with you.
