We cross the Blaa Alm, passing a gate and take the forest road to the right direction and then immediatelly to the left leading us to the river "Rettenbach". We cross it and the path to the "Naglsteig" starts. First flat and over a river the path leads steep upwards. Soon its important to have a head for hights and sure-footedness. Always steep upwards after 1,5 hours you reach the so-called "Anger", then the "Beerensattel" and after a short downhill the hut "Ischlerhütte".
From then on we follow through the area of this mountain pasture passing a hunting lodge to a fork in the road. We follow the path number 226 to the right steeo upwards. At the peak we enjoy the amazing lookout and take the path number 227 downwards. Via the ridge of the Schönberg carry on this way until there ist a turn to the left, path number 211. Soon we meet the track which we took also for the ascent. Back to the "Ischlerhütte" and the nin direction to Bad Ischl. At the area called "Ahornsberg" there is a turn. We follow to the left a small road for tractors downwards to the valley "Rettenbachtal". Afterwards we carry on towards the so-called "Naglsteg" and we walk back to the Blaa Alm.
