Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. 

With the Mercato ‘BELLA ITALIA’, Festa e Musica, the land of culinary delights is coming to Vorchdorf.

The Italian market brings Mediterranean flair to our region for a few days. The abundance of offerings is reminiscent of the most beautiful hours in the sunny south. In keeping with Italian Night on Friday, 4 July 2025, we are getting in the mood for Mediterranean flair!

The air is filled with the scent of Italian specialities, delicious wine and Mediterranean spices. This is true Italian art of living. Italian cuisine never leaves you cold. No one can escape its sensory appeal.

With the traditional ‘Italian Market Festival’ featuring authentic Italian market traders, pizza bakers and winegrowers, as well as Italian musicians, we conjure up a genuine Mediterranean lifestyle in the town, promise the exhibitors.

How to get to Vorchdorf in the Almtal valley, the gateway to the Salzkammergut!

We recommend travelling by public transport!

By train:
via Wels station to Lambach station, with the Vorchdorferbahn (line 160) or from Gmunden with the Traunseetram (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl Bahnen to Vorchdorf Eggenberg.
Numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn towards Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.

By bus:
OÖVV bus lines 481 from Kirchdorf to Vorchdorf or 501 from Wels to Vorchdorf.

With the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 70 from Scharnstein station via Pettenbach to the Vorchdorf station stop or from Almspitz on Route 80, call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 to book.

Arrival by bike:
Coming from Wels or Linz on the R 4 Traun Cycle Path or R6 Roman Cycle Path, or from Gmunden on the R 4 Traun Cycle Path or from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt on the R 6 Roman Cycle Path to Lambach, via the Traunkraftwerk Lambach power station and then via Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting to Vorchdorf.
You can also take the R 11 Almtal Cycle Path from Almsee via Pettenbach, briefly on the R 13 Traunviertel Cycle Path to Einsiedlung and then to Vorchdorf.
From Gmunden via Gschwandt to Kirchham, from Laakirchen on the R 13 Traunviertler Cycle Path to Kirchham, then along the Traunseetram towards Vorchdorf.

By car:
A1 motorway: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A1 - A1 Vorchdorf exit
A1 motorway: Munich - Salzburg - A1 Vorchdorf exit
A8 motorway Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A1 - A1 Vorchdorf exit

Due to the Italian Night, the centre of Vorchdorf will be closed on Friday, 4 July from 5 p.m.
Otherwise, access is possible to the Schwarzlmüller car park right next to the Laudach bridge in the centre of Vorchdorf.

Parking in the town centre
Schwarzelmüller car park (only part of it), next to the Kitzmantelfabrik event area and behind the parish hall.
Please only use the designated parking spaces and be considerate of private property!
