5310 Mondsee am Mondsee
The version of the mystery play set in dialect by Franz Löser and authorised by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. "Mondseer Jedermann" has been performed in Mondsee every year since 1922.
The Play of the Life and Death of the Rich Man Jedermann. The wealthy farmer Jedermann is immensely proud of his estate. He dismisses his mother’s warnings as ridiculous and mocks his poor neighbors and a poor woman for their poverty. Instead, he listens more to his city-dwelling crony, who tells him exactly what he wants to hear. He knows how to enjoy his wealth, carousing and partying almost every day with his so-called friends. But one day, suddenly and without warning, Death approaches him and demands that he come along.....
