The wayside cross is reminiscent of a fatal accident at work in 1900 in a now overgrown gravel pit. A picture postcard from the 50s already shows the wayside cross, but with a different Madonna Picture.
In 1953 a huge storm destroyed the wayside cross. The glass of the picture was blown about 200 meters to the Lechner farmer, where it remained intact in the meadow. The Aubauer family, on whose grounds the wayside cross stands, put it up again and worries about jewelry and care of the Memorial.
