From the coach terminal, the route leads through the centre of Mondsee, past the sublime St. Michael Mondsee Basilica. The first ascent leads to the Maria Hilf church, where the first marvellous panorama over Lake Mondsee opens up. The route continues steadily uphill until the farm track turns into a forest path at the last farm. Follow this until you come to another farm track in the village of Stabau. After the second bend, just after the farm, a hiking trail begins again, which leads us directly to the Kulmspitz viewing tower, which we reach after around three hours of walking.
