An ideal walking and hiking trail for families with children! The stamp house for the adventure hiking fun is located at the sea alpacas! [Get inspired now and try out the 360° Perspectives Tour!](https://www.360perspektiven.com/projekte/attersee_update2022/vtour/share_plugin/php/share.php?id=63dd16bc08dd8) This adventure trail is one of the seven **Adventure Hiking Trails** included in **the Adventure Hiking Pass**. Along the trails, children collect stamps and can exchange them for small gifts at the information offices of the Attersee-Attergau vacation region. This makes hiking even more exciting and varied for children. The **Weyregger Wasser Roas** leads from one body of water to another. The starting point for the children’s hike is at the **Weyregg Aquarium**. From there, the route leads past the small schnapps shop and the **“Brennerin”** chapel **.** The trail then winds through the small park, past the Attersee mascots **Gustl** and **Perla**, to the drinking fountain, which provides fresh drinking water when the weather is above freezing. After that, cross the street at the crosswalk. In front of the municipal office, the trail turns right, follows the main street for a short distance, and then turns left into **Römergasse** after the **Kaisergasthof**. Passing the playground next to the **Naturpark Elementary School**, the trail continues until Römergasse meets **Wachtbergstraße**. There, the route turns right and follows Wachtbergstraße to the turnoff onto **Dr.-Gleißner-Weg**. The hike follows this path to the **boat landing in Alexenau**. The well-marked trail passes several stations and provides interesting facts about water. Among other things, it answers the following questions: How many days does it take for a drop of water from Lake Attersee to reach the Black Sea? Why is the Attersee turquoise-blue in the summer? How many plums does it take to make a shot of schnapps? Other exciting stops along the Dr. Gleißner Trail offer a variety of insights. At the **pear bench** on **Mostbirnenallee**, the story of how Helene came to be associated with pears is told. At **the alpaca enclosure**, you’ll learn interesting facts about how alpacas can drink water with their mouths closed. The return trip follows the same route or, during the summer months, by boat according to the current schedule. For the walk from the aquarium to the boat dock, allow about **1.5 hours** when traveling with small children.
