We start our hike at the parking lot in front of the Gahbergkapelle. The trail follows **Gahbergstraße** past the chapel to a fork in the trail. There, the route branches off to the left.Following the signs toward **Hongar / Kreuzing**, the trail runs above the **Kreuzing Alm** along a ridge through forests and across alpine meadows, gently ascending to the **Alpenberg** at **973 m**. There is a small rest area there where you can take a break. The route continues along a forest trail—which is also used by mountain bikers and, occasionally, horseback riders—to the **Schwarz Alpine Inn**. There, you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.
