The Hongar is **the local recreation area** of the Vöcklabruck district. The **panoramic view** extends to the Mühlviertel mountains in the north and the Traunstein in the south, Totengebirge, Höllengebirge to the Untersberg in Salzburg The excursion inn with a **large children's playground** (cable car, swings, trampoline, sandpit and a barbecue area) is particularly suitable for families. The **game and goat enclosure** is joined by **dwarf rabbits** and our **domestic pigs**. Many paths lead to the Hongar. The most direct one from Aurach is the most popular. The hiking trails from the **Kronberg** (Pinsdorf) and the **Gahberg** (Weyregg) are particularly attractive. Buses or people with walking difficulties can be driven directly to the inn by prior arrangement.
