A total of 36 municipalities are now united under a single tourism organisation. The aim is to pool the region’s resources, further enhance the Salzkammergut’s international profile and jointly drive forward tourism development. The Salzkammergut is one of Austria’s leading tourist regions. With its unique blend of lakes, mountains, culture and living traditions, it delights visitors from both home and abroad. The region records around 1.2 million visitor arrivals and approximately 5.5 million overnight stays each year.
